Universal Design for Learning
Universal Design for Learning, or UDL, is an instructional framework that supports flexible ways for educators to teach lessons, as well as multiple ways for students to demonstrate what they know. The goal is to reach all learners, including students with learning difficulties.
The UDL principles highlight areas where:
- barriers to learning can be minimised
- flexible options for learning can be identified and increased.
Each principle has a related set of guidelines and checkpoints to help teachers create a more inclusive learning environment.
